Student Wellbeing

The Adelaide Secondary School of English is a MindMatters school for the whole-school approach to positive mental health and wellbeing. Student Wellbeing is formally included across the curriculum specifically in the Personal Learning and Wellbeing (PLW) Program which leads into the Personal Learning Plan (PLP).

A Student Services team consisting of an Assistant Principal (Student Services), 2 Counsellor Coordinators, a Transition Coordinator and a Community Partnerships Coordinator. The Student Services team work with DECD workers and community agencies to further support whole school wellbeing.

Student voice is supported through the SRC which meets weekly.


Student Support Services

Further support is sought from DECD referral services and Community Liaison Officers (CLOs). School Support Officers (SSOs), Bilingual Student Support Officers (BSSOs) and volunteers are regularly involved in providing one-to-one and/or small group support to students.

Students are able to participate in various clubs and sporting activities during lunchtimes. Extracurricular activities are offered after school including a Homework Centre and Interschool Sport.
