Student Wellbeing

The Adelaide Secondary School of English has a whole-school approach to positive mental health and wellbeing. Student Wellbeing is formally included across the curriculum specifically in the Personal Learning and Wellbeing (PLW) Program which leads into the Personal Learning Plan (PLP).

A Student Services team consisting of an Senior Leader (Student Services and Community Partnerships), 2 Student Wellbeing leaders and a Transition Coordinator. The Student Services team work with DfE workers and community agencies to further support whole school wellbeing.

Student voice is supported through the SRC which meets weekly.

 

Student Support Services

Further support is sought from DfE referral services and Community Liaison Officers (CLOs). School Support Officers (SSOs), Bilingual Student Support Officers (BSSOs) and volunteers are regularly involved in providing one-to-one and/or small group support to students.

Students are able to participate in various clubs and sporting activities during lunchtimes. Extracurricular activities are offered after school including a Homework Centre and Interschool Sport.
